A non-toxic varnish seals the pendant and a black bail makes it easy to attach to a necklace.

Scrabble tile pendants are NOT waterproof. I recommend removing the pendant before bathing, swimming, going into labor..... or any other activity where the pendant could get wet. These are not recommended for children.
